Urgent need for improved booking and care

While there's been a marginal enhancement in the reception staff's approach to patient interactions, the appointment scheduling process remains woefully inadequate. My mother, who underwent surgery years ago due to an accident, recently needed to consult about her leg acting up. She spent an exhausting three hours, from 8 AM to 11 AM, attempting to secure an appointment, only to discover all slots had been filled when she finally got through. It's imperative that they overhaul their booking system to facilitate easier access for patients. Despite raising this issue with the practice manager, no tangible improvements or actions have been implemented. I've encountered some unsatisfactory experiences with certain doctors, including a particularly concerning incident where crucial information about my condition wasn't communicated to me. This oversight led to a delayed diagnosis, which proved significantly detrimental to my health. Moreover, obtaining medication prescribed by my consultant has been an unnecessarily arduous process. The GP's office misplaced forms and sent me on a wild goose chase in my efforts to get essential medications prescribed. The entire system needs a serious revamp to better serve patients' needs.
