Usually a very good practice.

I received a call on Friday 17 July from a doctor, Dr B. I think, saying my blood test results were showing an infection and would I attend the surgery on Monday 20 July at 13.50. Having arrived at 13.45 I tried to log myself in. System wouldn't accept me. There was one person being dealt with at reception and two waiting. I joined queue. Watched a few other people book themselves in so I tried again. No luck. The person at reception took well over 5 mins. At last the next one in queue gets seen to - another 5/6 mins. Then the third person gets seen to only taking sbout 3 mins. My turn. No one else in the queue. Receptionist then disappears out the back for over 5 mins. Sorry to keep you waiting!! Upstairs to waiting room where quite a few people waiting. Dr N. comes out shouting my name and telling me and everyone else in the waiting room that I am late for my appointment but he will see me. Once in his office I apologised and tried to explain what happened. Not good enough I was late as receptionist booked me in at 14.06. Three times I apologised and tried to explain but he wasn't interested, just kept telling me I was late. He then asks me why was I there!! I explained that another doctor had made the appointment due to my blood test results. Gave me another prescription for anti biotics and as I have a CT scan 23 July booked me in for more blood tests next week saying, it may not be an inflammation, it could be Cancer. I have already been told that at the hospital 6 weeks ago, I don't need to be told again in such an abrupt way. It's been bad enough waiting for this next CT scan to find out what is going on with me. Needless to say I left the surgery in tears after, in my opinion, being treated so abruptly.
