Veteran Feels Practice Declining After Doctor Leaves

Having been associated with this practice for more than six years, I must express my disappointment in the decline of services following Dr. Kirk's recent exit. The administrative team has always been a weak link within this practice, and it appears they are now further retracting and reducing the services offered. As a veteran, I was taken aback by their lack of support for veterans; they seem to disregard the Veterans Covenant that they committed to uphold. Moreover, there is a notable absence of awareness regarding mental health at this facility. I've recently lodged a complaint due to feeling increasingly distanced from essential services. I continue to utilize this practice because it is conveniently located near my residence; however, my preferred medical facility remains James Cook Hospital since North Tees University does not meet necessary standards for care. Each referral process to JC feels burdensome as the administrative staff insists that patients must go through North Tees despite our right to choose our healthcare provider freely. Additionally, there is an evident discontent when patients express their preference for seeing one physician over another rather than allowing continuity in care preferences. Instead of enhancing their offerings in the future, it seems that they are opting for further withdrawal from patient support and service provision.
