Waited Over 30 Minutes for a Blood Test

After previously utilizing their online triage service, which worked reasonably well, I attended an in-person consultation for a straightforward blood test today. My appointment was scheduled for 1:30 PM, but by 2:00 PM I was thoroughly frustrated - it's not as if I don't have professional commitments. When I approached reception, they explained that their computer systems had just crashed, leaving staff uncertain about patient schedules. If the systems had only just failed, why had I been waiting over 30 minutes for such a simple appointment?? I can tolerate a minor delay, but being kept waiting for more than half an hour is completely unacceptable. The clinic sends persistent reminders to patients about punctuality, yet they themselves cannot manage their own appointment timelines or maintain functional technology. This experience epitomizes the current state of dysfunction within the NHS.
