Worst emergency appointment ever with sick baby

Desperately sought an urgent morning appointment for my poorly year-old son after 111's advice, initially directed to Markham surgery. Upon arrival, I was redirected to Bryntirion, where we were supposedly checked in and told to wait. With a 9.40am booking and a sick, non-verbal child running a high temperature, we endured an increasingly frustrating wait - first thirty minutes, then an hour, then two. My partner even had to bring a bottle for the baby's feeding time. The waiting room was packed with visibly frustrated patients, apparently due to system issues. While I understand technical problems occur, making my son wait until 1.30pm is completely unacceptable and borders on negligent. Staff continuously brushed us off, claiming uncertainty about our scheduling and suggesting we weren't a priority. I firmly believe my sick child should have been prioritized over patients seeking routine blood results. The front desk service was shockingly unprofessional, displaying a dismissive "not my problem" attitude. Dr Wells, who finally saw us after nearly four hours, offered no apology, showed zero compassion, and simply handed me a stack of impersonal leaflets. Absolutely no effort was made to genuinely address my concerns or provide meaningful guidance for home care. After waiting four exhausting hours, I received information I could have easily found online. An absolutely terrible experience that represents a complete failure of basic healthcare standards.
