Utterly appalling excuse for a medical professional and practice manager. My partner underwent a neck disc removal and cage implantation after a 2018 accident. Initially seen by a Leeds specialist about potential surgery, we later moved to Ferryhill. We immediately requested a referral to a Neuroscience specialist for scanning and potential surgical intervention. After endless delays, the doctor claimed she had already been assessed and required no further assistance. Months passed, and she became wheelchair-bound due to excruciating pain. Despite repeated help requests, she received minimal support. Eventually, she was prescribed pain medication with minimal effectiveness, consistently dismissed until she tragically overdosed from unbearable suffering. Only after this did the hospital acknowledge the need for surgery, scheduling a date on my 30th birthday after two years of desperate pleas. Upon moving to Newton Aycliffe, we hoped for compassionate care to address her permanent nerve damage. Instead, we encountered Dr. Walker - unquestionably the most insensitive physician imaginable. Zero empathy, zero assistance with pain management, zero appropriate referrals - essentially abandoned. They subsequently discontinued her pain medications, providing no guidance for gradual medication transition. Additionally, despite her asthma, they repeatedly deny her inhaler access, leaving her without critical respiratory support until December 7th. The practice manager's response was equally horrific. When my partner called requesting medication and inhailers due to extreme pain, the manager coldly stated no medications would be provided until the review. Given her mental health history, this pushed her to contemplate suicide. Shockingly, they simply hung up, making no follow-up attempt to check her welfare or offer support. Steer clear of this medical practice at all costs!!! The only saving grace is the genuinely compassionate nurse practitioners.
