Worst medical practice ever dangerous patient care

If I could rate this practice lower than zero, I absolutely would. The service is utterly abysmal. Anyone contemplating registering with this surgery should steer clear and find an alternative immediately. Every single appointment, repeat prescription, and attempt to contact the surgery has been a complete nightmare. The situation was dire before Covid, but with their 'total triage' approach, securing an appointment with a doctor has become virtually impossible. Take a look at their website - 27 administrative staff (some potentially part-time), yet you can't get through, nobody is remotely helpful, and every request is met with resistance and excuses. Dr Deshmukh has merely sent a text response to my husband - who has a critical, life-threatening condition - stating he has sufficient medication on his repeat prescription. What he completely fails to recognize is the potential for dosage changes, and during his upcoming hospital appointment, he'll likely run out of medication, facing delays in obtaining a repeat prescription and collecting from the pharmacy - potentially leaving him without crucial medication for days. Should anything happen to him during this period, I would absolutely pursue medical negligence charges against Dr Deshmukh. With nearly 20 years of experience managing this medical condition, I am utterly disgusted that the surgery (seemingly as a cost-cutting measure) refuses to provide my husband with a comprehensive range of warfarin dosages, seemingly preferring to risk his life rather than adopt a patient-centered approach and actually communicate with him. Simply glancing at a document showing 11mg and providing just enough medication to cover hospital appointment days is unacceptable - especially if dosage changes occur, potentially leaving him without sufficient tablets, unable to adjust dosages correctly, and forced to pay for additional prescriptions. After 20 years of prescription expenses, they now want to make managing a long-term illness even more financially burdensome. I am absolutely appalled by a doctor and practice that consistently prioritize financial considerations over patient care. The staff should be thoroughly ashamed of the so-called 'service' they provide within the NHS. WE WILL DEFINITIVELY BE LEAVING THIS PRACTICE - WE CANNOT WAIT TO ESCAPE THIS UTTERLY UNCARING AND UNPROFESSIONAL MEDICAL SUPPORT.
